This year, QWOCMAP will premiere 29 brand new films in 3 screenings during our online live streamed Queer Women of Color Film Festival, June 12-14, 2020. From barren land around our communities and displacement that uproots us and weeds out who is welcome in our neighborhoods, to the insides of homes typically thought of as safe and nurturing, our 16th anniversary Festival Focus “SafeSpace/NoPlace: LBTQ People of Color digs up how spatial injustice seeds discourse and proliferates violence against oppressed communities. All films are Subtitled for the Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing, and ASL Interpretation and CART/live open captions will be provided for the live, interactive filmmaker Q&As.
